InfoGard has been an industry pioneer and leader in Security Assurance for nearly two decades—our proactive Operational Strategy remains the hallmark of InfoGard’s expertise in providing individualized Security services designed to the needs of each satisfied Client. This strategy was first deployed during our early participation with the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST’s) 1993 development of the federal Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP). InfoGard’s success in helping shape the CMVP set the blueprint for our effective, early involvement in subsequent programs, where InfoGard made major technical contributions and further refined our Independent Third Party role to meet specific business or governmental contexts.

In each new program, InfoGard has executed its proven, time-tested approach by participating in the development of Security Evaluation processes or by significantly contributing to the refinement of existing processes or procedures. In every case, InfoGard developed the first Derived Test Requirement (DTR) and/or provided the first “worked example.” These InfoGard measures supplied a detailed grasp of each program’s technical specifications, an understanding of the assumptions behind the specifications and their objectives, and a head start in solving practical testing challenges for differing hardware, software, and other technologies.

And there was an added, important advantage: InfoGard’s early involvement provided early “lessons learned” resulting in better-trained, more-experienced, and more-competent staff, with improved skills matching the cross section of disciplines required to support all Security and Privacy projects for customers concerned with Healthcare Information Technology, Financial Services, and the Federal Government.
