InfoGard was an early contributor to the following major programs:

  • After its early involvement in the federal Security Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP),  InfoGard became the first U.S. laboratory accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). We continue to be the market leader with 14 accredited FIPS 140-2 Engineers, 400 lifetime validations, and consistent market-share leadership for the past few years.
  • After developing the test report template, InfoGard became the first Postal Systems evaluation laboratory, and continues to be the market leader with accreditations to evaluate Postal Systems for the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Ireland, as well as for the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).
  • InfoGard developed the Derived Test Requirements (DTRs) for Pin Entry Devices (PEDs) and became Visa International’s first evaluation laboratory. InfoGard continues to be the market leader for the Payment Card Industry (PCI).
  • InfoGard is one of two laboratories who exclusively evaluate Scanning Vendors for approval by the PCI Security Council, which is owned by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard WorldWide, and Visa Inc. This evaluation is required to attain certification as an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) permitted to access the International Payment Card Network.
  • InfoGard developed and received approval of its DTRs for Electronic Prescriptions for Controlled Substances (EPCS) and is the first and only Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certifier for EPCS.
