Certified Logo & Guidelines

The InfoGard Certified logo designates Electronic Health Record (EHR) products as having been tested and found to meet the HHS criteria for meaningful use.

Electronic Health Record Technology Certification

EHR systems tested and certified under the InfoGard certification program will receive the InfoGard certified logo. This logo confirms that the Vendor’s EHR product meets the requirements as a Complete EHR or Modular EHR system for EHR Certified Technology. InfoGard is authorized to test and certify both Complete and Modular EHR systems under the HHS Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program.

Use of the InfoGard certified logo is restricted to the product version that received certification for the specific test/system specified on the certified ONC Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) Product List (ONC-CHPL). Companies that receive certification are required to prominently display the following text on their Web sites and in all marketing materials, communications statements, and any other assertions related to InfoGard's certification of the Complete EHR and/or EHR Module:

  • “This [Complete EHR or EHR Module] is 201[X]/201[X] compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.”
  • In reference to InfoGard certified status, the following information must be clearly stated:
    • Vendor name
    • Certification date
    • EHR product version
    • Unique certification number or other product identification
    • The clinical quality measures to which the Complete EHR or EHR Module has been tested and certified
    • Where applicable, the certification criterion or criteria to which each EHR Module has been tested and certified
    • Where applicable, any additional software that the Complete EHR or EHR Module relied upon to demonstrate its compliance with a certification criterion or criteria adopted by the HHS Secretary
