Validation Testing of PCI Approved Scan VendorsInfoGard is pleased to announce that the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council has chosen InfoGard as a provider of test infrastructure to validate the capabilities and performance of PCI Approved Scanning Vendors (ASV). The test infrastructure is a network of multiple targets containing vulnerabilities that may be detected through the use of network vulnerability scanning methodology. After performing their scan of the test infrastructure, ASVs submit detailed reports to InfoGard for an assessment of their performance based on PCI requirements. Assessments are submitted to the PCI Security Standards Council, which determines whether or not to grant Approved Scanning Vendor status. The PCI Security Standards Council has sole ASV approval authority. PCI Security Standards Council approval of an ASV enables it to perform vulnerability scans of merchants & service providers as required under the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS). Useful links: |
