History

InfoGard is recognized as the IT security evaluation industry leader in providing IT security services. We helped develop multiple industry standards and programs and are often the 1st accredited lab in emerging markets. Our ability to effectively work with standard bodies and program regulators has allowed us to perform many of the 1st evaluations helping our customers to achieve the 1st certificates within multiple programs.

1993:

  • InfoGard Incorporates

1995:

  • InfoGard is the 1st  Lab Accredited by NVLAP to perform Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-1 validations for the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP)

1996:

  • InfoGard achieves the 1st  FIPS 140-1 Certification with Motorola for the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP)

1997:

  • InfoGard becomes the 1st United States Postal Service (USPS) approved laboratory
  • InfoGard achieves the 1st United States Postal Service (USPS) Approval with Pitney Bowes

1998:

  • InfoGard achieves the 1st  FIPS 140-1 Level 4 Certification with IBM for the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP)

2001:

  • InfoGard achieves the 1st  VISA Pin Entry Device (PED) Program Approval
  • InfoGard conducts the 1st Federal Agency Systems Assessment for the US Treasury

2002:

  • InfoGard becomes a Common Criteria Testing Lab (CCTL) accredited by NVLAP

2004:

  • InfoGard achieves the 1st Payment Card Industry (PCI) Testing Program Approval

2006:

  • InfoGard becomes the 1st Bi-coastal Security Lab by opening an East Coast Laboratory in Gainesville, Virginia
  • InfoGard becomes a NIST Personal Identity Verification Program (NPIVP) FIPS 201 Accredited Laboratory
  • InfoGard achieves the 1st FIPS 201 Certification with Oberthur for the National Personal Identity Verification Program (NPIVP)
  • InfoGard achieves the 1st MasterCard Point of Sale Terminal Security  (PTS) Evaluation with Hypercom

2007:

  • InfoGard becomes a GSA FIPS 201 Evaluation Program Laboratory
  • InfoGard becomes a Voting System Testing Laboratory (VSTL), accredited by the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) and the 1st joint CMVP/VSTL.
